2.1.Research Problem :
Faced with the weak impact of the present campaigns of presention and after a multiplication of quantitative studies in the only case of AIDS (or the binomial AIDS - condoms) in urban areas with a high population rate and besides groups with a high risk rate, it is high time we opted for a large angle of attack (a study of representations and pratices in the face of serious diseases or seen as transmissible) by using methodolgoical means that are subtile.
Faced with the weak impact of the present campaigns of presention and after a multiplication of quantitative studies in the only case of AIDS (or the binomial AIDS - condoms) in urban areas with a high population rate and besides groups with a high risk rate, it is high time we opted for a large angle of attack (a study of representations and pratices in the face of serious diseases or seen as transmissible) by using methodolgoical means that are subtle.
This study will be within a rural population in B. Faso already known from the ethnological point of view and which is not yet much affected seriously by the HIV but which viewed from, its geographical position and the migratory movements in the direction of Côte d'Ivoire, stands a high risk of spread of the epidemic. AIDS serves as a privilege revealer for discovering the kind of risk control used in the face of a serious, not to say, incurable diseases in the absence of an existing biomedical treatment or that can be used in a precarious economic Situation. The scope of representations and practices of all the actors in health and prevention - nurses to the traditional doctors as well as the teaching staff - and young people who are in an age group much exposed to risks, will be explored during the first year of this study jointly undertaken by an anthropologist (working in that region since 1979) and two doctors, one of whom is a Lobi from Burkina Faso.
2.2.Objectives
Contribute to the elucidation of social logics established in the scope of adverse transmissible sanitation in order to conceive a policy of prevention of AIDS, taking into consideration the local people's perception of the risks of the disease, that is to say, adapted to local practices, thus making it possible to reach one's objectives.
2.3.Methods
